Game Drives

Tanzanian game drives are an adventure unlike any other, allowing tourists to witness the awe, dread and splendour of the life of wild animals in pristine national parks. My experience in Tanzania embodied this exhilaration. However, while sifting through the photographs of my game drives, I realized that tourists like me were hurting the wild animals, especially big cats, in our excitement to see or photograph them closely. Although I cannot argue with the awe of seeing one of these majestic cats at a foot's distance, or the power of these scenes in sustaining the conservation efforts and the local economy, I know that we could minimize our impact by merely maintaining a greater distance from these cats.
