The bright yellow rays of the sun seem to be healing the old walls of the Cellular Jail. But the walls have witnessed far too much, for too long to forget. This corridor that is filled with yellow light, was also a testament to the cruelty inflicted on Indian freedom fighters. Each prisoner was locked up in a separate torture cell. The more spirited freedom fighters were assigned extra hours at the grinding mill, made to stand handcuffed for a week, and sometimes even starved. The inmates lived in hell, and yet they wrote history.
