Portraits
Portraiture is one of the oldest, most developed and diverse forms of photography. Yet, I found that it remains remarkably challenging to capture meaningful portraits of birds and animals. In this assortment of photographs from Tanzania, I have presented static environmental portraits that showcase the relationship between my subjects and their surroundings, full-body portraits that directly peak into the subject's eyes, and gesture and behaviour shots that tell you more about its personality and life. In summary, I have tried to capture the sense of being of these incredible animals and birds that I had the pleasure of briefly meeting.
